Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the app: The app is a personal tool for monitoring but could also be used for other applications.
Kind of development: New app from scratch
Description of every page/module: Perhaps some of these can be combined, but basically:
Page: set goals in hours or units per day of the week. This is typically set once, and not frequently adjusted.
Page: daily data entry
Page: display Plan vs Actual vs Variance for goals, chart and graphical (ex. graph or?)
Page: instructions
Description of requirements/features: This app is for iPhone and iPad.
The app should allow the user to set personal daily goals in hours or units for each day of the week for a variety of customizable goals. These are typically set once (ex. at the beginning or the year or project) and not frequently adjusted.
Each day, the user should be able to enter Actual results for the particular goal/metric and outstanding variance should be displayed per goal/metric.
Variance should be tracked in two ways: cumulative from day 1 (start of challenge or project), and also for the current week. The purpose of resetting the variance at the beginning of each week is so that the user is encouraged to start fresh each week and try to do better with respect to the goals. However, they need to be able to see their performance long term.
Plan vs Actual vs Variance should also be available visually (ex. plotted as a graph or some other way).
Specific technologies required: iOS - should work on iPhones and iPads
Extra notes: I have a spreadsheet with formulas that accomplishes this that can be available for reference.
