X. T. on 12/06/2007 19:38 pmhi,
that means i would rather not disclose my budget at this stage so as not to bias the quotes i get.
thanks
J. W. on 14/06/2007 21:24 pm Hi there
I thought that the closing date for this bid was this Tuesday of this week? Please advise on why it has been extended?
Thanks

theer was no change in the date. Whay do you think there was ?
J. N. on 17/06/2007 14:10 pmI also thought that the original date for this was not yet passed (and it still shows 6 days left!) so cannot understand why another bid has already been accepted! Please explain.

X. T. on 18/06/2007 10:07 amDear Julie
A Buyer is always entitled to accepting a Bid before the expire duate he/she originally set.
As i mention above, we are now adding a featire to publish the winning Bid so that you can all see it and
get feedback that way
regards
D. L. on 17/06/2007 21:11 pmI placed a bid for this project and as I have heard nothing back assume that I was unsuccessful.
Is it possible to get 1 to 1 feedback with regards to my bid and why it wasn't accepted?

We are not involved in the Buyer's decision, and we do not bias that decision in any way (unlike recruiters say) so we cant really express an opinion on that as PAperHour. The only thing we can do on this front is publish the winning bid for you to see. We are adding this functionality right now so please bear with us.
Regards

I notice that bidding has now closed on this, as I'm fairly new to "bidding' for projects, I too wouldn't mind being given some feedback as to why I wasn't successful on this occasion. Thank You.

As mentioned below: the winning bids will soon be published together with comments from the Buyer as to why they chose the bid they chose.
For now all i can say is that buyers choose based on price, relevant track record, location (in this case it was relevant) and references (if made available)

N. B. on 18/06/2007 13:31 pmdisappointed to see the bidding has closed despite the closing date being shown as 24 June. I was formulating a bid and thought I still had a few days to put it in. Why put a closing date and then accept an offer before the end of the bidding process ?

X. T. on 18/06/2007 14:45 pmDear Nicola
As we explain below: it is the case that Buyers may choose a bid before the expiry date if they deem it right to do so. We do not interfere with that process. All i can suggest is you try to get your bid in as early as possible and detail as much information as possible.
Also Buyers do prefer to acceot bids from Providers who post a picture on their profile as it makes it more personable.
I hope this helps.
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
