Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
General information for the business: We sell web development and shared or VPS hosting
Industry: Internet/Software
Kind of support: Network
Description of support work: Hi everyone!
I'm looking for somebody to check all my WHM/Cpanel admin server settings (everything is already installed), to optimise and secure my shared server solution for WordPress/Joomla type of sites.
I need to make sure that services like:
mod_security
jailshell
suphp
csf firewall
APC PHP
and some more...
are properly configured and work flawlessly on my server configuration.
------------
Linux 2.6.32-431.3.1.el6.x86_64
Total processors: 4
Vendor: GenuineIntel
Name: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU L7345 @ 1.86GHz
Speed: 1861.914 MHz
Cache: 4096 KB
Current Memory Usage
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 3924436 3557640 366796 0 241148 2598632
-/+ buffers/cache: 717860 3206576
Swap: 2097144 5968 2091176
Total: 6021580 3563608 2457972
------------
I'm deeply interested to find someone to work with me in finding the solution which I believe is APC PHP oriented, to fixing HI CPU/MEM load when more than 100 HTTP requests are sent towards a WordPress website hosted on my server.
At present, I'm testing with JMeter (http://jmeter.apache.org/) and have very bad results when these bunch of requests are sent to any of the WordPress sites I host.
When the flux is started, the targeted site will show TOP results with full processor and memory usage and the server is becoming incredibly unresponsive.
I know for sure is not HTTPD as this can sustain 3000 HTTP requests sent to a pure, simple HTML website. So the issue relies somewhere between PHP and MySQL.
A quick study revealed the fact that most super fast WordPress sites use a plugin called W3 Total Cache which is works in DISK mode and OPCODE: Alternative PHP cache (APC).
Tested the plugin in DISK mode and the results are no good.
Extra notes: If you manage to configure these for me and make my WordPress sites to run flawlessly when we test them, you have an ongoing deal with me then.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you back from any of you!
