Title:Graphical Mockup for Web 2.0 startup
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
We are looking for a web designer/UI designer based in London (the reason being that it would be efficient to perhaps physically meet with the web designer to guide them on the colours/theme etc. and approve/reject things quickly) proficient in Photoshop/Indesign to do the graphical mockup for our real estate web 2.0 prototype site which is a SAAS concept. The site comprises the usual static pages (e.g. About Us, Contact Us, Home Page etc.) and has a logged in section which has a few different tabs and functions that investors will use but the theme overall stays the same.
Once the mockups are created to our satisfaction the job of the web designer will cease as our offshore designer will convert it into HTML/CSS and take it forward from there.
It is an exciting project that has not really been implemented in the UK and a chance to be part of something ground breaking!
Any party interested wil need to sign an NDA first and we will need references.
Thanks.

N. M. on 17/09/2009 23:01Hi
Purple Interactive is a London based company with a lot of experience with start ups.
I'm not clear if you are looking for an hourly quote or fixed fee. At this stage we'd need quite a bit more info for fixed fee. By all means get in touch.
Regards
Nicky
A. T. on 18/09/2009 16:01HI,
Sociarta.com is a London based web design company. One of current projects (90% near completion) is a london based property startup. We have done a lot of research into the market inorder to achieve the required results for our client. The project incorporated many reviews of design and user usabilty tests etc so we know a bit about the real estate and property market. We have had to produce mockups for the user and estate agents backend admin system (much like you described). I dont know if we are allowed to mention or place links here, however you can view this project in our portfolio. We have also some experience in GUI design for in house software etc. Our speciality is in frontend design. Contact us for a more in depth portfolio.
As a previous bidder mentioned, please indicate in more detail, your budget and number of page designs in total so as to make it easier for us to place a realistic bid.
We would love to be involved with you on this project as we are local and are currently working with 3 other London startups on their frontend designs for their respective projects.
Regards
Andrew

I would love to chat to you about the project - you seem to have done some good work. Would you be confident designing the UI for a online asset management programme - although the look is very important, unlike other websites it is most about functional design rater than pretty stuff.
I have also asked my developers for further clarification on the requirements and I should have that in a couple of days and will get in touch then.
A. T. on 18/09/2009 23:20Hi Dawood,
I would be interested most definitely in designing the UI for the OAM programme. I have some experience in producing functional logical user interfaces for companies inhouse software. Obviously one would need to see the complete software structure mapped out.
Getting back to the estate agents site I am eager to see more and await your contact.
Being London based I am able to meet face to face to discuss further.
D. A. on 04/11/2009 12:54Hi Guys
Good news - We are considering outsourcing the design work but the scope has changed slightly. Before giving out the job to a particular vendor we would like the vendor to come up with a concept theme - just one or two designed pages of how they would propose to design the site. This will allow us to make a better decision.
Obviously I can clarify further now what the site/design actually requires.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
