Clarification Board
G. .. on 02/02/2010 13:52Yes It is possible to maintain a brand look in all designs & make you look like a professional company however pelase clarify if you need only the website design in PSD or PSD/Html & also please specify your budget it will help designers to know about what best they can provide you for your budget and saves a lot of time for you also to select bids that suit you.
Thanks
Vinnie
M. W. on 02/02/2010 14:27Hi
I am a British designer with alot of experience in design for print and web. However I live in France so am unable to bid due the bidding being restricted to the UK only. Even though I work remotely I still have many clients in the UK. I would love the opportunity to discuss your project in more detail if you can remove the restriction.
Best wishes
Mark
T. .. on 02/02/2010 15:58As Vinnie metions - we will need more information on the brief for each of these jobs to be able to cost them in terms of time. For the print artwork - do you need single or double sided flyers and bcard - for the web do you need just site design or full implementation, will your site require forms? database? CMS? domain name and hosting?
I would be happy to submit a bid for this but I would need more details to provide you with a costing that represents the complete design process.
With more information in your brief you are much more likely to get professional designers bidding rather than 'photoshop jockeys'
regards
Steve
W. H. on 02/02/2010 16:13Excuse me thindigital,
we didn't need any more information to bid on this project - and who do you think you are calling PSD Jockeys?
We have over 20 years professional experience in the design and marketing industry.
Don't put others down to try and better your chances - not very professional (as you claim to be)... is it?
T. .. on 02/02/2010 16:27Hi Wayne
When I say 'we' I mean the designers on this board - not me or my company.
I am asking the client to provide more info in their brief to be able to better price the job.
Did I refer to your firm as photoshop jockeys? No
- but as we all know this board appears to have many bidders who appear to be able to provide work for less than £10 per hour when responding any job. THAT is who I calling photoshop jocks.
So why not have a pop at them, rather than people trying to clarify the process and help bidders reach an informed decision?
W. H. on 02/02/2010 17:34Nice1
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
