Title:Slight Revamp of Website

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

An existing website needs a shake-up to replace existing javascript rollovers (particularly those in the top navigation bar) with standards-compliant CSS actions to improve accessibility and search engine visibility. It also needs a few changes. The website currently has six pages each with less than 200 words of text. It is to expand to seven pages. We need the navigation bar to expand to include a link to this seventh page, which should be supplied as a template.

The entire job specification is thus:
1. Download existing site from web (we can supply you with all resources we have, including larger versions of the logo).
2. Replace existing javascript rollover navigation bar with a scaleable, compliant navigation bar; add another link to nav bar
3. Check for any browser issues the site must look the same on any web browser and be, at least, readable on mobile devices.
4. Change front page to a two-column design from a one column design. Move existing text (with a couple of minor alterations but we'll deal with the proofreading and copy-wrangling). Insert logo of relevant trade association (with link).
5. On the fourth page, which is on a three column layout, convert white-text-on-blue-background gifs (9) to CSS-defined boxes with editable text. Add a new headline and paragraph of body text (to be supplied).
6. Convert the fifth page, which currently has a large animated gif, so that it is scaleable text on a (supplied) striped background. If possible make the text behave like the existing animated gif (see enclosed item text appears in six bullet points).
7. Put all the pages in a "wrapper" so that they float in the middle of the screen, no matter how large the user's display, rather than at the left, as it is at the moment. Push everything about 10px from the top.

Hi James

Thanks

Hi James, I want to base my bid on my hourly rate to make it cheaper for you, do you know what the site is currently like in other browsers and on mobile devices or could you supply me with the URL so I can have a quick check?

Thanks!

Zoe
