Title:Public relations copywriter technical / web industry

Job Description
I am looking for someone to take my 30 years of experience in the IT and web industry and turn it into some excellent copy suitable for presenting on my website.
It is essential that you are Brighton ( UK! ) based or within 20 miles of Brighton. I don't think that this can be achieved without direct face to face interaction.

N. C. on 16/07/2010 13:36Hi Ian,
I am a copywriter/SEO. I specialize in writing and optimizing web content and so I am very interested in your project. My question is do I really need to be in Brighton? Distance is always a problem when working remotely. So to cut mileage fees and for convenience I use Skype the Free online telephone and video conferance tool. Would you consider this method of communication?
Also can you tell me how many words /pages are you looking at?
thanks
Nick

I. M. on 16/07/2010 14:03HiThanks for the question. I might consider Skype at a push. I need enough copy to complete a compelling front page and perhaps 3 or 4 outline articles behind that. Generally i am capable of doing it myself but I need to formalise the process it to actually get it done, too busy working :)I am offering an Interim CTO service to small and medium sized businesses so need the copy to bring in more clients. Most important is for the respondent to capture my 'key selling points' rather than some off the shelf copy.

Is Tunbridge Wells too far?

A couple more questions if you don't mind so that I can come up with a meaningful quote with clear deliverables:
- when you say 'outline articles' do you mean outlines *of* potential articles (ie a brief summary of the main argument plus supporting points but not finished/publishable text) or brief articles that would demonstrate your knowledge/ abilities/ services enough to persuade potential clients to contact you? If the latter, roughly how many words would you envisage per article?
- is there an existing website I can look at?
Thanks
Michael

I. M. on 19/07/2010 15:06Hi MichaelI can put together articles ( when pushed ) but I need someone to summarise into a punchy 'come get me header'Basically I have been working in IT for 30 years and I want to get back into self employment. I need a few pages to put on a professional face. I have a copy of a CV that I can ping to you as well.Start of something here www.mrango.com
I. M. on 20/07/2010 08:11Hi Michael
I can come up with a couple of brief articles about abilities and scope of experience. May need tarting up / some input to make it sound good to potential clients. mrango.com is the site I am trying to expand.

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
