Job Description
We have a requirement for someone to create web content for microsites that we publish.
We will need 300-500 words of content for the homepage which will be based around the key phrase which will be the same as the domain name.
we will then require 200-500 words for each of the other 3-4 pages based around a similar key phrase
I would like to get this work completed for £20 per site. We will build the site so the copy only needs be delivered in microsoft word.
we also have research software available to generate questions and answers if this helps. The copy can be sourced from existing websites but must not be identical to any other pages, of course.
I am happy to give a test project to anyone who is interested and there is an almost unlimited amount of this work available. I would prefer to only receive bids from native English speakers but I do not mind where you are located in the world.
Any questions let me know.
Best regards
Roger

J. O. on 18/11/2009 22:21Did you miss off a nought or two? Website copy for four gallons of petrol or 6 pints of beer? After the PPH commission that's one gallon of petrol in fact. There's 'an almost unlimited amount of this work available'. I bet there is.
J. B. on 18/11/2009 23:51I absolutely agree with Judy. Anyone willing to write what is a minimum of 900 words for £20 must be churning out complete rubbish. If that's what you're looking for, terrific, but if you want someone with skill and dignity, you're going to have to seriously reconsider your payment terms.
M. S. on 19/11/2009 01:08Is there any objection if a non-native writer should be able to give the product to same specification?
A. P. on 19/11/2009 08:42The fee is alittle less, however, I am willing to write for approx 5o pounds per site.
Please let me know, I am available immediately. To give you some background, I have successfully written website content for numerous companies and am in the process of completing a research project, along with web content for a consultancy. This project is almost complete, so I can work on your project as soon as possible.
Thanks
A. W. on 19/11/2009 09:55The fact is that £5 per page of up to 500 words is fairly standard now for web content. People don't necessarily 'churn out rubbish' for that rate. Graduates around the world are writing some excellent web content for less, and good luck to them. It might seem strange that writing pays less than it used to but that's the way it is. My feeling is that, with time, the rate of pay will go up again as employers realise it takes a particularly good writer to produce copy that will increase their traffic and sales. In the meantime I can do with the extra money so long as it's at least minimum legal wage.
J. O. on 19/11/2009 11:32No Adele, copywriting rates will go up again when unemployed journalists stop undercutting the professionals. Copywriting is about more than writing. This is between two and five days\' work for someone who knows what they are doing. Otherwise it\'s just filling space. Enjoy your fiver.
R. D. on 19/11/2009 12:11Crikey, can of worms :-)
To clarify, we are not really looking for expert copywriter wordsmiths, of the sort that we might require to write really good sales letter copy or website content, and I would expect to have to pay hundreds of pounds a day for their skills and time assuming I didn't do the work myself.
The sites we are building are AdSense sites that are being put together purely to provide content based around a specific keyword(s) that is informative and useful and not being a direct copy of other pages on the web. The AdSense income is pretty small hence why we have a low budget per site. but buying that income in bulk is an investment we have decided to make.
I had hoped though that we might come across some very talented people with time on their hands, of the ability to see that cranking out regurgitated copied and pasted and edited texts four times a day could be a reasonable income supplement, and hey in the process you might also see how we are making money off of AdSense and be able to setup your own sites, who knows?
So thanks for all of your input, I have received bids from some very talented individuals all bidding at the correct price so looks like we have found some of the people we are looking for.
If interested you will have to bid for two jobs as the site minimum is £40
Best regards
Roger
A. W. on 24/11/2009 16:33You tend to find that once you are accepted by a client and they see the standard of your work they take you on for other work and you enjoy a lot more than a fiver. That's what happens to me anyway.
