Title:Graphic Designer for Web and Print based in South London
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
I am planning to launch a business within the next 2-3 months and am looking for a graphic designer with experience of website design. Initially I will require website design for this new company's webite and graphic design for brochures, etc. Additionally, this new company will focus on website design for its customers, so there will be a continuous flow of design work. The skills I am especially interested in are Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop; knowledge of macromedia Flash would be a bonus.
I am looking for designers who are based in South London. The reason for this is that, on occassion, it will be necessary to meet with clients. I am based in SW15.

S. R. on 23/06/2011 17:31Hi Kristian... Would the Designer be required to build the websites as well, or do you have a Developer for that?

K. S. on 23/06/2011 18:03HI,
I am only looking for a graphic Designer as I am a web developer myself and will be dealing with that side of things. I should probably also make it clear that I am looking for people who are based in SW London. It's the first time I have used this website and I should have made that clear from the start. I am going to make efforts to change the description now. Sorry if I have caused you any inconvenience.

S. M. on 24/06/2011 10:04Hi Kristian, this job is currently listed as 'remote' despite the title. You might want to ask for that to be changed, some people won't read the job brief properly.
Thanks
Sofia

K. S. on 27/06/2011 17:59Hi S.M.,
The jod is remote - it will be working from home. I would, however, like to meet the right canditate in person and also, from time to time, it may be good if the candidate is able to meet my clients. I hope I have clarified this for you.
P. G. on 24/06/2011 11:07Hi is this remote or on-site
If an on-site person is required do you have parking available?
what is your nearest train station?
will your freelancer be required to bring own equipment hardware/software?
need to know these as going on-site changes our budgets
also 5 hours a week for on-site seems a bit strange
please clarify your actual requirement

S. M. on 27/06/2011 18:32Kristian remote work does not usually entail meeting with the customer - I'd suggest you change this to an area postcode, and mention you expect the freelancer to work from home.

K. S. on 27/06/2011 22:39Ok, no problem, perhaps another time.
G. D. on 30/06/2011 11:05I work as a freelance graphic designer and as a bartender as well. I don\'t have so much free time but 5 hours per week are perfect for me and more i\'ve got experience in meeting up with british clients even if my mother tongue is not english.
I\'m not living in the South of London.
What kind of new society would that be?
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
