Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi,
I have been on people per hour for a while now but posting a project for the first time. We develop web applications from small websites to large scale web applications. Having developed our own CMS and in-house software development toolkits, we can deliver the functionality of a medium level website within hours. The graphic designers are always hired for specific jobs and we have worked with a few but are still looking to improve in that department.
The ideal designer for me takes the responsibility for the look and feel of the site. They start with making mock ups and pass those to the client and once approved, converts them into XHTML and css. They then sort out any cross browser issues in formatting. The idea is that the client needs to be satisfied. Our clients are important to us and have the final say. I am not looking for any proud designers who think they know best. If the client doesn't like your design, you revise it till they are happy. Logos/banners etc. if required will be mentioned at the start of the job.
The designer normally makes between £100 to £500 for a job depending on the project. We specialise in start ups so if they like your design they are likely to ask for print as well.
We work in .NET so you will be testing the layout in VWD 2008.
Please include some samples of your work. Mention if you are interested in logos/mock ups only or the entire design. Please also mention if you do animations (rarely required). It would be nice to get some idea of a turn around time and charge for a small and medium website. Where are you based ?
Cheers,
Atif
