Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Information on the business: We sell fundraising and membership software to non-profit organisations (NFPs) and associations
Industry: Internet/Software
Design details: 12 images in all, as follows:
Six images for a home-page carousel, approx 480 x 400 pixels, each to appear alongside a few lines of text, on the following themes:
1. Welcome note - a summary image to evoke the character of the product and company implied by the other images that constitute this job;
2. ‘Understanding’ - to evoke the idea of software that understands you/speaks your language/is itself easy to understand;
3. ‘Best practice built into the product’ - software that makes you better at what you do;
4. ‘Integration’ - software that organises other systems, fully integrates with them, and makes them work better;
5. ‘Geocoding’ - software that can organise and map your data geographically/spatially;
6. ‘Analysis’ - software with powerful analytical, measurement and management-reporting capabilities.
PLUS
Six icon/button images for site navigation from the homepage, on each of the following themes:
7. ‘Fundraising’ - raising money in order to help other people;
8. ‘Membership’ - recruiting and serving members of a charity or association;
9. ‘Events’ - running fundraising/campaigning/PR events;
10. ‘Volunteers’ - recruiting, and supporting and organising the work of volunteers;
11. ‘Grants’ - awarding financial grants and other assistance to people in hardship;
12. ‘Legacies’ - cultivating legators/testators and administering legacies and bequests.
Target audience: Budget holders in charities, associations and other nonprofits looking to upgrade software
Ideas for the visual style: Blue should be prominent; photographs can feature; access will be given to the website currrently under construction (using Umbraco CMS)
Things to avoid: Simplistic 'cartoon' (children’s animation)-style line images
Where the design will be used: Web and print
Extra notes: All proposals should include a rough idea, represented graphically or in words, for one background image and one icon, based on the information contained in this job posting.
Scope of this job may expand to include elements of 'look and feel' of website as a whole, and imagery/livery for the company’s printed documentation: to be commissioned as a separate job(s); may lead to ongoing/recurrent visual maintenance & development relationship.
