Description
Experience Level: Expert
Information for the business: The client sells hair care products globally
Design details: We have two lines of hair care products and need to present them to a retailer. As part of the presentation, I'd like to show realistic 3d mockups of the products, including thoughtful lighting and texturing. We already have the labels fully designed as well as packaging dimensions. We also know the textures of the packaging. So, the models would have to be made, then the labels applied and several renders captured so that we have some options for how to use the renders. Here are the models we'd need made:
12 oz cylindrical bottle
8 oz tube (with crimped top)
8 oz cylindrical bottle
6 oz jar
2 oz jar
The shapes are all super simple—mostly cylinders with maybe a bit of detail on the caps. Some of the containers will have two different labels, so the total number of unique 3d model / label combinations is 9.
The labels will be soft-touch varnish with a spot glossy varnish. This means that certain elements of the label should refract light, while other parts should be a matte finish. I can provide exact diagrams of which parts should be reflective.
I'm going to be "picky" but I can also give you very specific direction. This won't be a goose chase.
Target audience: Women, especially (but not exclusively) ethnic, ages 18-45.
Ideas for the visual style: I will want the renders on simple white backgrounds to gives design flexibility later on. They will be comped onto 2d designs for the sake of the presentation.
Things to avoid: Poor modeling, unconvincing lighting and texturing
Preferred colors: The colors are already all determined
Extra notes: I can send you reference images as-needed.
Bids welcome.
