Ever since I was young, I have had a great passion and appreciation for the arts and in particular the... area of Jewellery Design. I feel I am an extremely creative person who gains an immense amount of pleasure from designing and making a whole variety of jewellery pieces. At Art School in my hometown Katowice, Poland, I studied many relevant subjects such as graphic design, product design, painting, drawing and photography, the latter of which has become a part of my general hobbies. My interests led me to London, one of the leading cities in every sense. I was particularly drawn to the city’s high standards when it comes to areas such as Art and Fashion. I decided to continue my studies at Central Saint Martins University of Arts London on Jewellery Design Course. INSPIRATIONS Ever since I was young I have been fascinated by those little creatures called insects … I remember during my childhood I used to spend summers in my grandmother’s small village in east-central Poland, 68km away from Warsaw. The climate inevitably used to bring a whole range of insects to the area - bees, wasps, butterflies, and beetles – who used to keep my older brothers and I company during our stay there. In particular, I recall jaunty, complacent, sunny days spent running around in my grandparents’ yard chasing butterflies. The way these beautiful and elegant insects glided through the air without a care in the world mimicked my behaviour at that innocent time. I remember how the numerous types of beetles and spiders used to sabotage our picnics in the orchard. We used to catch them in whatever containers we could find and take them home to show our parents (an activity which did not please my mother too much!). In fact, there are many memories like these and that’s why I believe that my childhood has had the most amount of influence on my art inspiration and also has developed my great love for nature.

My interest in graphics started from my early years. My first projects - some short comics stories and designs for... board games I made for my school friends. The day I got my first PC my work and projects entered in to new dimension. First programs I have ever used was Corel Draw, PhotoPaint and later 3Ds Max. The last one opened for me a fantastic world of 3d animation. At college I was introduced in to commercial graphic, and this hugely interested me. Simultaneously I was practicing my skills in 3D modelling and also creating applications in Flash. At the end of my college, thanks to all acquired skills, I wrote my engineer project: “Modern ways of communications”. Where I described how important 3D graphic is in modern trade and communication. Shortly after school I did some contract work for a Abrys. I was creating 3D models of SMEG products and other leading producers of furniture in Poland and Germany, which than were used in catalogues and software for architects and interior designers. I used programs like Adobe Photoshop, 3Ds Max and Planit. Later I was offered a job by an advertising company MindWalk. I was working there with Photoshop and Corel Draw, creating billboards, posters and magazine ads for pharmacological companies like Glakso Smyth Klein, Organon, Teva and many more. I was also involved in creating advertising campaigns for above enterprises. Simultaneously in my free time I was doing some freelance work, which later took over my time and I had to give up my position in “MindWalk”. Freelance is giving me a big satisfaction as I can concentrate on things that really interest me. Currently I am brushing up my skills in HTML, PHP, XML and Action Script 3.0. I want to use my experience in graphic designer with programming to make my projects more interactive.
