Having started at 17 on a 4yr apprenticeship in heating and plumbing (city&guilds) then in to a large hotel building company where I trained for 2yrs in carpentry Level 1&2. I have had some very large contracts including the erection of Wickes conservatories in shropshire, the build of a £750, 000 hotel in Sri lanka, 5 house builds in the uk, and the on running maintenance contract for 3 blocks of 16 flats as well as hundreds of small projects <£1000. I work within the strict inspection of the local building control officers and I would have to say that I'm only in business to day because i work hard and take time to understand what my customer wants.
