My grounding , knowledge and inspiration for Interior Design blossomed at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester. Here, it was the discovery of my passion for colour and textiles. This knowledge was taken and channelled into 10 years experience in the wholesale and retail fashion industry, working for companies in Chelsea, New Bond Street and Bluewater in Kent. A gap year in Australia, working for Reschke Wines - based in the Coonawarra wine region of South Australia, taught me that design is also based on lifestyle and how we wish to spend our hard earned cash. Whether it be enjoying fine wines or investing in our homes, or even both! Design requires a healthy mind and imagination and with this, I channelled my energy into the fitness industry. Qualified in Customer Service , a Fitness Instructor and personal trainer for 8 years. This lead me to a change in becoming a mother to my two beautiful girls. Since then , I have obtained a diploma in Interior Design with the Interior Design Institute and am a member of the British Institute of Interior Design. I have used my knowledge into giving advice to family and friends in relation to re-designing their new dining room extension or a new room for a new born................ I would be happy to supply you with my client’s feedback. Also, having just moved to a new family home, myself and my husband , ( a builder/painter/decorator ), have worked together to create our own masterpiece. HTML & CSS/ Photoshop/ Adobe Premier/ After Effects/ Fireworks/ Illustrator, Photoshop/ InDesign/ Flash Pro/ Dreamweaver/ CSS/ HTML, etc. This is after studying Final Cut Studio 2 (Final Cut Pro/ Motion/ Sound Track Pro/ Compressor, etc. for a number of years. Does Education ever end? Having purchased my first broadcasting/ Cine Alta camera, a Sony PMW-EX3. I may now justabout find the time to use it at some length. I am now aiming to eventually produce a short/ feature length Film, within the near future. Titled: 'There's No Way Out!'. Unfortunately, times are hard. The personal cost of time, production equipment and endevourment, yet endevourmwnt is also based upon persoanl experiences. Costly, but when one is aware of their own personal tallent and dedication, you personally have no obvious choice but to continue. I haven't had the time to get connected properly, on Face book or My Space for a long time, Even though my initial profile has been registered and promoted for a few years. I may happen to be one in a million, yet I doubt that! I have only now recently published a suitable Film website, still in the developing early ...stages, i.e. "www.conical-fusion-films.co.uk" (I am still updating new media content to), that will establlish me as a potential lucrative investment... to the film Financiers out there, hopefully! Hello, My work history since the early 80’s has been in new business sales and major account development – most... of this being service based (I have sold ‘product’ but I much prefer services). I promised myself I’d stop racing up and down motorways once I hit a certain age ‘milestone’ so these days I manage my time carefully to get what I believe is a nice balance. Most of the ‘normal’ working week is spent working for private clients – in a nutshell I find new business for them. I’m always happy hitting the phones and doing it the old fashioned way but I invest a lot of time with Email marketing, Pay Per Click, and direct mail. Very often I’ll pilot mixtures of each, create some landing/squeeze pages for a client web site – and turn lead generation into an automated process. I have a good understanding of SEO and Social Media but tend not to venture too far down that route – none of my private clients have money to waste, every penny spent has to show a very quick return, which makes SEO and Social Media less attractive to them. The remainder of my week is spent working in Facilities Management (mostly OOH operational work) which is useful to me in many ways: it helps me understand services businesses I would otherwise never get involved with, and I do a lot of telephone training work. For many years I sold IT services so CRM and communications technology are very much ‘my thing’ – I have a very deep understanding of both ACT and Goldmine, and a working knowledge of the web based applications SalesForce and VanillaSoft. I have accounts with RingCentral and UK2Numbers to enable me to use automated call routing and tracking as and when I need to. I’m based close to the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire – the M40 is about fifteen minutes away and trains to central London run every half hour from the next village down.
