My forte is creating and applying brand identities across a broad spectrum of media; I’m equally excited by the big-picture look, feel and tone of voice pieces as I am fanatical about the pedantic, guideline-quoting, red-pen-wielding minutiae of brand application. I've spent the last eight years in ...very busy, brand-focused creative roles culminating in my current position as manager of a hand-picked creative team including an artworker,... a design/production executive and a web editor. I manage all brand, design and communications activities for my employer through development and hands-on ownership of the design and intranet functions. There are several corporate identities that I’ve created and continue to progress on a day-to-day basis for the Elmfield Group. Within that, I’ve developed subdivisions to cater for a wide range of end users and demographics, from senior board members to youth learners of all abilities. I have a great ability for tuning in to specific end user and audience requirements which means I’m naturally adaptable and flexible and am comfortable hopping from corporate strategy documents to technical manuals to magazine ads to learning materials for a wide range of abilities in any one week. Freelance journalist/editor/designer/artist

I am an experienced journalist who has written for a variety of audiences. I have recently done communications work for... two charities - the London Sustainability Exchange and Action on Hearing Loss. Prior to this, I was working as editor of an award-winning national magazine. g3 magazine is aimed at lesbian and bisexual women, and has an estimated readership of 140, 000. In the course of my job, I wrote and edited material on a wide range of topics, including celebrity interviews, fashion features, opinion pieces, legal advice, pregnancy and fertility issues, community activism, humour, arts and culture, UK and international news and bar and club reviews. Before that, I wrote and edited material for a gay newspaper, two environmental charities, and an animal rights charity. I have a very fluent, readable style which I am easily able to adapt to different subject matter. I am a creative sub-editor and meticulous proofreader. I can promise a very quick turnaround on articles. I have gained experience of designing, managing and editing a variety of websites through the roles detailed above. I am also an accomplished artist and designer and very keen to accept design and artwork commissions.
