Description
Experience Level: Expert
Good Morning,
I represent a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Salt Mountain, Inc. \"Salt\" is in the organizational, start-up phase and construction of a pastoral retreat. We operate entirely by donation and to this end are in search of a web designer/programmer to build a CMS site for us within our means. We currently utilize two url's where a very primitive place holder is positioned.
The design of this website needs to accomplish a few basic things for us:
1. Enable us to be easily found on the web
2. Cater to a predominately male gender (and their wives)
3. Be very professional and stylish in appearance promoting a five star resort \"feel\" yet be easily navigated and inviting
4. Be pro-active in generating donations
5. Be informative as to current projects
6. Provide a very enticing and professional blog format
7. Be clear on Salt's purpose and overall vision
8. Be fully under our control and easily updated by us
9. e-commerce site for donation receipt
A few additional needs are:
10. Host must provide e-mail package
11. Future design/programming of e-announcements and webletters
Attached please find a draft of a site map of sorts that I have put together on Salt's behalf, as well as a newsletter .pdf which gives you a good idea of the corporation's identity and overall style. The branded colors are a metallic copper and black, which is represented by CMYK more cost effectively as a goldenrod/canary yellow for general mailings.
I am the volunteer designer of Salt's logo and branding package, but only work in print media. Any assistance I can offer to keep costs to a minimum, I am glad to provide. I work in CS2 for the most part. I also can provide fairly good imagery for use on the site as your design may dictate. Please let me be clear - although I have a very good understanding of what the corporation wants for the overall look and feel of the site - I am glad to let you design/program it according to the \"feel\" Salt wants it to have, and what your experience tells you works quickly and efficiently on the web for the end user.
I am glad to answer any questions you may have and to hear your comments and suggestions. Your reply as to your interest in the project would be very helpful to me in my quest to find the right \"fit\" for a long time working relationship with Salt.
Thank you for your consideration of this project and time in its review.
Blessings,
Teresa Wade
