Who? We' are the Social Media Charter - a company that exists to assist financial service firms in mitigating the risk of an FCA fine on social media. For more information, visit our website at smcharter.com.
What? We need a video producer and team to produce 14 interviews, and compile those interviews into 2 others videos.
Where? 14 locations around London
When? We need the videos to be finished by 3rd December 2014
Why? We are hosting the Responsible Social Media Summit in the House of Lord - these videos are an important part of that day, and the legacy that day will create.
Budget: £3000 OBO
What we're looking for:
We're looking for an individual or team who is ambitious, has an existing knowledge of the financial services industry, and can communicate a vision through their work. We're looking someone who has the gravitas to 'wow' clients and make them realise the Social Media Charter is the only solution for mitigating risk in social media. It is essential that you have previous work we can look at to get a feel of your style.
Additional details:
Each video should meet the following objectives:
1. To explain the risks of social media for financial services
2. Develop a video which explains the entirety of the Social Media Charter
3. Inspire people to realise this is the defence against the problem of compliance in social media
4. Make people feel confident that the SMC team are fully capable to run this project
Output
Three videos:
• One for the an event. This should be a 12 minute video that comprehensively encapsulates the Social Media Charter and its simplicity with up to 8 people interviewed.
• Individual videos 12 people above which can be put on our website, as short insights on different elements of the Social Media Charter
• A comprehensive video showing bits of all 12 interviews – this should be a 4 minute video.
Target Audience:
1. CEOs – demonstrating a way to grow their business
2. CROs – Showing the Social Media Charter is the only way to mitigate risks
3. CFOs – using the Social Media Charter to ultimately save money by avoiding large fines.
Points to Note
1. The look and feel should be of a similar level to: Accenture report/ PWC cyber report
2. We have credibility – eg. Include FT , banking standards review and FCA on our board. (process pack with coverage provided)
Logistics
Must be able to travel to different locations to film participants.
Social Media Charter description
The SM Charter was built to set the standard for excellent compliant social media use in financial services. A team of world class barristers, social media experts, communications and software specialists were brought together in 2013, by Kitty Parry, to build the Social Media Charter Implementation Process. This Process mitigates firms’ risk of a fine when using social media. Its bedrock is the Charter which has led to a set of practical Guidelines, for how firms can harness the full potential of social media compliantly. This has all been done in close dialogue with the FCA following demand from the financial services industry for clear direction on social media use. By signing up to the Charter and following the Social Media Charter Implementation Process (SMCIP), firms benefit from legal training, world class industry benchmarking, friendly cyber-attacks and advanced financial services specific listening tools to enable compliant best practice when using social media. At the end of the training firms will be presented with the Social Media Charter Certificate, acting as proof to their customer, clients they are listening to their needs and to the regulators of industry leading best practice.
