Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking for subscription sales executive to sell two weekly periodicals and its market forecasts.

Faultline examines in depth the way digital technology is changing many entertainment industries such as music, film and television with new distribution models and new ways of thinking and pricing. Wireless Watch examines the technology arriving in the cellular space and other wireless technology areas, and explains its future impact.

The successful candidate will work at least two days each week from our offices in Winchester in Hampshire, but can work at home the rest of the time. The position is commission only but we will pay travel and phone expenses (up to a maximum of £250 a month), and we would expect a successful applicant to be able to earn £25,000 in their first year and as much as double that once they build up an understanding of how technology markets work.

The journals are written by two of the most experienced technology analysts in the UK with proven track records over the past 30 years. We expect this small company to enter a period of rapid growth which will create many new opportunities for a hungry sales person. Your job will involve speaking daily to CEOs, Marketing directors, Chief Technology officers and corporate libraries to promote our products. Sales will mostly be by telephone and email with some face to face work at major corporates. You will direct your own approach after initial training is given in market and product knowledge.

The successful applicant will already have their own PC, fixed phone line and broadband line at home, be confident on the phone, have at least one years selling experience and not be awed by talking to busy and important people. The right candidate could carve themselves a position leading the company's sales efforts both on subscriptions and later on advertising based products. Our products cost £1,000 for each subscription and initially Commission will be 40% of what's sold. Once these companies renew, the commission will be 25% when they pay next year.
