Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
Our web site is not currently performing well in search engines, and there is also two new products that will need to be added and optimised.

The market for this site is not clearly identified and the new product also falls into a quite tightly defined niche.

The content on the site is quite technical, and the density of keywords is poor.

The structure of the site is not search engine friendly, and the metadata for each of the pages hasn't been addressed or refined.

The products listed on the site are not all products, but include technical descriptions of add-ins and add-ons rather than products.

Other than that, the look and feel is good for the visitor, but there is no real call to action on the site for each of the products.

Some thought needs to be given to the names of the actual products listed. as they either do not exist as a product type anywhere else, or they are meaningless to a search engine as there is no niche definition.

Also there is no real call to action for each product. By this I mean download a brochure, sign-up, register interest etc. There is typically only a "contact us" link and these are not very effective, as a visitor will typically believe that clicking it will lead to them being sold to.

We currently use Word Press and Thesis which is what we want to keep, it is purely content, layout and good practises for SEO, Meta tags and keywords.
