Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
Looking for intelligent audio transcription (no pauses, hiatus, plus removal of introductory, irrelevant, or conversational material, etc) of one digital audio file (two copies of the same file are available) from a professional legal conference held in London. The material is to be returned to the buyer by Thursday lunchtime, so seeking prompt working period.
There is one audio tape - one panel session discussion of 1 hour 30m, with a backup recording of 1 hour 15m. However, I do not need the introductory welcoming remarks by the partner, panel introductions of various panellists, or the final question and answer session at the end transcribed, just the main body of the panel discussion only, focused on four key questions, which amounts to about 60m -75m maximum
Audio quality is good, but audibility varies. Seeking best endeavours on transcription- material that is difficult/impossible to transcribe can be ignored. In short, if you can't hear it after listening twice, move on.
Use of a secure Dropbox facility is mandatory for the job to ensure file transfers.
Dictation is of a professional services (legal) conference on digital disruption in litigation. Use best endeavours for transcription.
Quick turnaround required. Transcription to MS Word required. Material is of professional media/journalism variety so client confidentiality is important. Must be native English speaker, C-level experience with media background preferred.
Timeframe: delivery is of the essence of the contract; looking for this to be carried out over the next three or four days hours - it is very high priority, certainly back by Monday 10.30 AM.
Please indicate what you feel the total time taken and price for the job will be.
THIS IS A REPOST OF THE ORIGINAL PROPOSAL AS THE BIDDER IS UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE JOB THROUGH ILLNESS

How much of the audio is left to transcript? I see you said this is a repost. How many minutes did your original typist manage to transcribe?
