We require a new business developer initially to win new clients for our marketing agency.

We work with SMEs and are looking for someone who can help us win more long term strategic clients where we partner with businesses as their 'outsourced marketing department'. We've worked with a range of clients to know that our business proposition resonates strongly with the target market.

The role will involve:

- Generating leads (we have ongoing marketing activity to support this but you will need to generate leads too)
- Meeting with prospects
- Writing proposals
- Following proposals up
- Closing the deal
- Nurturing prospects that don’t close first time

Essential experience and skills for this role are:

- Consultative sales experience. We do not sell a commodity and the solution is different for every client. You will need to really understand the prospect, what they require, their price points and propose a solution
- A knowledge of marketing
- Good use of written English language as proposal writing is required
- Someone who is friendly, listens and professional. Not interested in a 'hard sales person'

In addition, desirable experience and skills are:

- Working for a marketing agency
- Experience in selling to SMEs
- Someone who is entrepreneurial

This role can be flexible • either part time or full time to match your needs.

Remuneration would be a mix of salary and commission. No cap on salary and the opportunity to get involved in this entrepreneurial business early means there is the potential to grow with the business.

We are based in Wokingham, Berkshire so require someone local.
