Description

Experience Level: Entry Level
Who we are:
A4A Art for Architecture have extensive working experience and practical design sense to undertake large-scale public art projects drawing on nearly twenty years of sculpture experience. We work with a variety of media, including large cast bronzes and stainless steel structures, glazed brick architectural reliefs, metalwork fabrication, stone and cast stone. This cumulative mass of experience over the years and genuine creativity has enabled us to resolve many artworks leaving as many delighted collectors, clients and the public to enjoy our work for generations to come. We create all sorts of artworks from cast bronze portrait statues, to colossal stainless steel figures, unique bespoke structural canopies, railings, gates, way markers, one-off bollards signposts smaller awards and trophies.

We have our own fabrication workshops and lost wax ceramic shell casting foundry in rural Ayrshire, Scotland but send work out all over.

What we want:
We usually do our own very limited marketing and have printed brochures to send to interested clients. We are looking for a person who can seek out potential clients, research potential projects, arrange initial meetings and generate sales for us. Not an easy task, selling public artwork is often a slow process that needs careful patient cultivation, some projects of ours have taken several years to come to a sale fruition. You will need to have some empathy towards art and be happy to learn about what and how we create art works to aid your endeavours.

Payment will be based on a percentage basis of a sale you initiate ranging from 3% to 5% variable on the value of the completed sale. Paid in instalments (as we are paid by client). Art projects we have worked on in the past were worth £120k whilst smaller artworks would be sold for several hundred £'s. For the right person we would be happy to negotiate some sales expenses and if the relationship works well possibly a retainer fee.

On average we normally might undertake half a dozen art projects a year a varying sizes and budgets, if we could increase this to twelve, spaced out over the year to suit our workload capacity, it would be a good target for you to meet.
