Description
Experience Level: Entry
This is not a straight text translation job, I need someone who is a native Russian speaker or who has execeptional written Russian grammar skills. I am trying to set up a small website in Russia and could do with some help understanding the Russian Language in terms of grammar and the best terms to use. Maybe it would be best if I explain a bit more what I need. I have a long list of words that have been entered into search engines by Russian people and then grouped together in keyword groups in a list, so all the different spelling variations of \'men\' or \'casino\' are grouped together. I need a hand analyzing this list as I don\'t speak any Russian and there seem to be so many different ways of saying the same word!
Initially I could do with understanding:
1. Why are there so many different spellings of the same word. Eg when I use a translation program they all say \'Game\' but there are many different spellings, I need to know what is the purpose of so many spellings in some examples.
2. Which words/phrases are \'stand alone\' words, eg make perfect sense when used on there own. Or do the words only make sense when used in conjunction with other words.
3. Check for any spelling mistakes.
4. Which out of the groups of related words are the best (most popular ways of writing the word or phrase, that makes perfect sense as a \'stand alone\' phrase) Eg which out of the groups is the normal way to say \'game\' \'poker\' \'casino\' ect as you would write it in English.
I hope that gives a broad understanding of what I need although it would probably make more sense for me to send you over an example list, which I will do if you confirm interest in the job. Then I can liase with you on gmail chat or skype to explain what is needed. I don\'t know at this stage how much work will be required, it would depend on the initial results but if it goes well it could become a long term contract. Please let me know if you are interested or get back to me with any questions or comments, I would like to get started on this straight away really. Thanks, David
