Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
As part of a new start-up enquiry (not booking) website for hotel accommodation (in a single overseas country), I have some short (3 pages) terms and conditions for Hotels to agree to. These T&Cs are in the form of a "memorandum of understanding" rather than any conventional legal T&C because I believe that legal reliance on even the tightest T&Cs will be unlikely (and uneconomic) and I want to avoid getting into "mark-ups" with hotels which may happen if they felt that they were being presented with a strict legal agreement.

I need a sensible UK lawyer who is experienced in website trading terms to review the legal parts of the Memorandum (essentially 1 of the 3 pages) to make sure the business is adequately covered from all angles.

It is important to me to keep these T&Cs very simple so I only want more of a legal "sense-check" rather than a redrafting exercise. I have set the budget limit in line with this.

The other parts of the Memorandum provide a summary of how the commercial relationship with Hotels will work. This should limit the time involved in a review.

Thanks
