Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: It's an idea I have. One-off page w/simple function
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of every page/module: - A simple, styled html template page ideally using Twitter Bootstrap. Page contains 1 text input field, 1 set of radio buttons, and an output area.
- A function to alter text entered by a user (as they type)
- 3 Business rules (which are user selectable) that determine how to alter the text
- A random example that appears on every page load of the before/after, determined by a config file.
Description of requirements/features: Simple page with an input field, three radio buttons underneath, and an output area under the radio buttons.
When the user types text into the input field, text in the output field appears beneath as the user types.
Radio buttons will trigger 1 of 3 different business rules which should be contained in a json file (so they can be changed later). The business rules determines what text to display based on what the user entered.
Page should be very simple, ala Twitter Bootstrap. I will be inputting a design later. For now, the text box should be as big (high) as possible, and inputted text should be styled. Input field should have a random text passage by default. This should be pulled from a json file (so I can add more later). When a user clicks into the field, the text should vanish.
Page should render well on mobile devices.
Business Rules: Setting 1: make two replacements. No upper case. Setting 2: Four replacements. 1 cap. Setting 3: Everything replaced, 2 caps. In all cases, spaces are ignored
Extra notes: I'm being deliberately vague on the "business rules" required that alters the text. I will share with those I invite in for interview, but the rules are very very simple. Text replacement essentially.
