The project is to support the development of a predictive analytics application for the internet industry. The design for the product and has been completed and development has commenced, with a plan to have a beta version of the product implemented by the end of the year.

The Challenge

There is a requirement to develop a proof of concept analysing a subset of data and develop a statistical predictive model that analyses the data set against a number of pre-defined factors. The statistical model will identify a sub-population that demonstrate behaviours consistent with these factors and segment customers appropriately. The data set for this project will contain 12 months worth of customer data and will include core customer data and transaction data, amongst other data.

The person will need to proficient in undertaking statistical analysis on large data sets and we would expect the person to have experience of using a variety of techniques. An excellent understanding of statistical modelling packages, such SPSS and Rapid Minor, would be advantageous as we are looking for recommendations as to how best the models can be implemented within a broader technical solution. We would typically expect the person to have a Phd in statistics however will consider any freelancer who can demonstrate that they have the above skillset.

- A copy of any source coded used to build, tune, and test the model
- A report of the results (format to be provided).

Subsequent work is likely to follow after successful completion of this phase.
