Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the business: Event Photographer
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Num. of modules: 2
Description of every module: I’m looking to develop the following solution. At an event I am photographing I will be taking multiple images of each person. I want to capture a person's email address efficiently and somehow tag it to the image(s) I just took of them and then, automatically batch emails with those images to each person I photographed at an event.
All work must be done on a mac.
Email entry must be on a iPhone or iPad
Possible solution:
1) Have very simple app where I enter an email and a start time. I can probably use something off the shelf to do this. Ideally the start time would be automatically entered as the current time. Ideally that software would also send out a email to verify that email is correct so that we know which emails are verified and which are not. Or have participant email me with something in the subject line that the program picks up on my computer with the time. Using this method they could also put their name and address and other information in the body of the email which we could purge into the metadata/exif as well. Email address is essential. 4 or 5 optional fields we can use in the future would probably be a good idea.
2) Have a program that searches and replaces the email in the EXIF /meta data based on the capture time of the camera and filtering it with the times captured in the app.
3) When I am done in lightroom processing the images I export them all to the same folder and another program batches them based on email addresses. I want to generate a form letter email to each individual email address with the images that match that email address attached.
Description of requirements/functionality: 1) Easily capture email and 4-5 other fields on a iPhone or iPad.
2) Extract emails and time of email to be able to filter and apply data collected to image EXIF
3) Filter EXIF by email and attach all images in the file with their email as an attachment to a form letter.
OS requirements: Mac OS
Extra notes:
UPDATE:
If possible, please see these additional specifications:
I was thinking that if I could just send an email with something the subject line for you to work off of like "AAA" then each line in the email would correspond to a data field - email, telephone number, etc. That would be crazy efficient.
Then If your script were to be able to ask me which timeframe to search it would search all emails with AAA in the subject line and the time the email was sent and automatically place the data into the correct images in the folder. (The files in this folder will be RAW files from either Canon or Fuji).
Then if the second script could just ask 2 questions: the folder to search and the form letter verbiage and it would search the folder, create a separate email for each email address, insert all the images with that email address and insert the form letter verbiage and send it. (The files in this email will be JPEGs).
