Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
General information for the business: Internet radio / vintage television station
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Description of every module: I am currently planning to open an internet radio and television station (the site is under development currently) that will be featuring popular music from 1925-1945 and recreations of early television broadcasts. These early television broadcasts from the late 1920s and early 1930s were produced in the television resolutions of 30 lines, 48 lines and 60 lines, in black and white.
I would be in need of a computer programmer who could write a program that can convert the standard television signal of today (525 lines) into a 30 line, 48 line or 60 line image that can be played using a regular video player, on YouTube, or in a web browser. I will need to be able to stream this video also from my website.
I can provide the exact information for these vintage standards (line number, aspect ratio, frames per second, vertical or horizontal scan).
I uploaded an example of a 30 line image (vertical scan) for illustration purposes, how the image will look. This kind of conversion has already been accomplished by others, as the clip can be found on YouTube, but I do not know how exactly this was done. It is therefore up to us to develop our own video converter.
Description of requirements/functionality: 1. Take a 525 line video signal and convert it into a 30 line, 48 line and 60 line video image (details of the vintage video standards available) that can be displayed using a standard video player, can be uploaded to YouTube and can be seen using a web browser.
2. The 30 line, 48 line or 60 line video should have visible scan lines.
3. The conversion program should be robust and of high quality for professional use, with an easy to use interface.
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes: This program would have to be written and completed within the next few months.
