Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
The objectives of the project are as follows:
1.To create a listing website
2.To enable consumers to provide reviews and also share content
3.To enable businesses to advertise services and job vacancies
4.To create an easy to navigate website for all users
5.To create a website that is easy to maintain
6.To ensure the website reflects a high quality brand
The website will need to allow for consumer profiles to be created and edited with text, photographic and video content.
Business profiles will also need to enable synchronisation to a list that will be reserved for top rated users.
It would be necessary for payment details to be provided so that subscription payments may be received.
The website will need to be able to contain an interactive national map which can be scrolled over and zoomed into as with google maps. An alternative means of finding locations on the map that needs to be available is a postcode search option. Filters options should be available as a side tool to help users filter down the options presented.
Admin staff will need access to the complete site; having ‘back door’ access to business profiles in order to easily extract data such as, the number of profile views, number of comments left etc.
For successful completion of the development project the website must have the following features:
•Top of the screen menu with multiple drop down options leading to separate website pages
•Interactive map – allowing search via a search bar; a filter tool; and simply via clicking to zoom in. Results on the map are to appear as small boxes which include brief profile summaries (e.g. business name; address etc.).
•‘Consumer’ profile sign up – to enable general users to upload text and share images/ videos.
•‘Business’ profile sign up – 2 profile options to be available for business users. These need to include a free sign up, which has restricted access to service features; or fee charging sign up, which will offer a profile with unlimited access to service features.
•Social media integration, e.g. Facebook login
•Review feature – enabling ratings to be given to businesses and comments to be left
•Payment gateway access
•Terms and conditions
•Automated email confirmation feature following new user sign up
Fee paying business users are to get access to:
•Feature position on the site as a top listed businesses
•Job posts feature on profile to advertise recruitment opportunities
•Advertisement feature on profile to promote product sales
