Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Plugin Modifications
Description of requirements/features: The plugin need to be edited in order to add images into comments.
Here's the step by step procedure, according to the developer:
"Hi,
Those are actually the main frame files, a basic idea on how to do it, a little bit of changes are needed here and there too. Here's how it can be done:
1. First, in "layout/comment/publisher-box/content.phtml" wrap the textarea html tag inside a form tag, and add a input file tag inside too.
2. Remove "postComment" javascript function in "layout/feed/content.phtml".
3. Copy the ajax call URL from the postComment function and add it as an "action" attribute in the form.
4. Make an "ajaxForm" call to the form. Clear the value of "onkeyup" attribute for the textarea tag and trigger an submit event to the form itself.
5. Add the input file data as a 3rd argument in the putComment function in "requests/post/comment.php".
6. Customize "putComment" function in Story.class.php to add file upload support.
7. It should be done."
