Project Description :
Overview
The requirement is to create a Learning Management System which has all the
existing functionality of the Operator Competence Assurance Program Model developed by CTP
, along with several new functionalities to significantly enhance the offering.
The overall aim is to create an LMS-in-a-box that and effectively
measures and reports on competency in a way that is not possible with the current platform.
Once designed, this container can be reused by multiple clients and sites in tandem with the e learning
courses that CTP produce.
The LMS will automatically log each operator group into a dashboard containing:
A detailed calendar.
A task or list for each operator.
A helpdesk linked to a knowledge base, so that frequently asked questions can be easily answered.
Each client instance will be subdivided into location based sub areas which contain lessons
organised around procedural compliance for specific activities and tasks.
Lessons that will deliver flash-based learning content and then assess the operators
competency with a sequence of questions. The LMS will have the option to force the operator to view the
content before tackling the proficiency assessment.
In addition, will also provide the following additional functionality:
A competency indicator which will give operators an aggregate of their assessment
scores for each sub asset area and also for the asset area overall. A graphical representation
of competence in the form of a chart or red, amber and green will be developed.
A grading module will provide reports both for operators and managers detailing the
proficiency of individuals and operator groups. The module will export this data in Excel and
CSV formats.
Using a phased approach, we will also develop the following for future implementation:
An application bridge module which allows learners to access documents from an
enterprise document management system such as Documentum/Alfresco/Sharepoint etc.
This will enable operators to review a particular operating instruction in its most up to date form whenever necessary.
