Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: We sell guided tours
Description of requirements/features: I urgently need a developer to edit my Wordpress theme's functions.php file in order to modify the behaviour of Woocommerce Force Sells.
Woocommerce Force Sells is an extension of Woocommerce that allows to automatically add side product(s) to the cart when another main product is added. Force Sells syncs the quantity of the side product(s) to the quantity of the main product.
In my case, the main product is a bookable product made with another extension (Woocommerce Bookings), and going more in detail, it is a private guided tour.
The tour requires museum tickets, which cannot be included in the price, or as add-on products, because the tour requires a 30% deposit, while the tickets must be fully prepaid. That's why I created side products to be added to the tour with Force Sells.
The problem is: the main product (tour) always has a quantity of 1, but it can have a variable number of persons. I want to modify the behaviour of WC Force Sells so that it doesn't sync the quantity of tickets to the quantity of tours, but to the quantity of persons. Screenshot is attached for clarification.
Woocommerce guys already provided a snippet to be added in functions.php which modifies the behaviour of Force Sells (https://docs.woothemes.com/document/force-sells/). With this snippet you can set a fixed quantity (1) of side product to be added. For who gets this job, it's a matter of:
-replacing the fixed quantity (1) with a function retrieving the number of people specified in the booking.
It's a low budget project, because it's easy. I don't have the PHP skills myself, but I know how it works, and it's a matter of minutes for an expert of PHP and Woocommerce. So, don't ask me what is my budget. Such questions will be ignored. Don't ask me when I need this done. I need this done yesterday, so if you're busy, don't mind to bid.
I will be away for the next 20-22 hours or so, right after posting this job.
I hope to come back, accept a proposal, and get the job done in 24 hours after assignment.
If the developer who gets this job satisfies my needs, we will discuss the:
JOB #2: expanding such function in order to sync two types of side products (Tickets and Reduced tickets) with two types of persons (Adults and Child).
Please only bid on the main job, not including this JOB#2.
