Within the current site there is a page which displays letters A to Z. Click on the letter \'b\' and a search is performed, something like SELECT * FROM tableA WHERE col1 LIKE \'B%\'. Results of query are then rendered, very simply, just the description column inside a link.

New facility as follows. I will be creating and populating another table, tableB. The query page then gets an additional search text box so user can search by clicking A to Z or by typing a partial name.

On clicking a letter, the modified query gets data from tableA and tableB using a union query, renders results pretty much as before.

On entering a search term, modified query gets data from tableA antableB (union) using LIKE \'%whatever%\'. Renders results as before.

I am a C#/Oracle developer and this would take me an hour or two if it weren\'t for the fact that it\'s PHP and MySQL! So I can help with the table and SQL, I just need someone to handle the new postings and getting/rendering the data. I can\'t spare the time and pain.
