Maya c++ api : simple bone(joint) and simple mesh smooth binding

Experience Level: Intermediate
I have created 3 joints and a triangular mesh automatically with c++ API, now I need to bind within same code.I need some help to solve the problem.
I have tried with:
MFnSkinCluster.setWeights(....
But it does not work, the way I have set up.
If anybody is available to help me .
