Description
Experience Level: Expert
We have 525 records we would like to get details for. They are in the format:
[English planning authority name] [reference number]
There are 140 different planning authorities, because some planning authorities have more than one reference number associated with them.
Here is an example record:
Planning authority: Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
Reference: 16/00560/FULL
The process would be as follows.
1. Find the website for the planning authority
- I did this one by a Google search for "Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead" which gives you the website www.rbwm.gov.uk
2. Find the planning application search
- I did this by going to www.rbwm.gov.uk, click on planning, then on "search planning applications", then on "search applications and appeals"
3. Search for the reference
4. Find the documents associated with the application (e.g. "View associated documents" link in this case)
5. Download the application form
6. On the application form, the data we want to record is the name & address from the certificates section (numbered 25 in this case.) If there is no address in this section, we want to record the name & address from section 1.
Each planning authority has a different website, but the application forms are consistent across all local authorities.
There are 525 records in total, please can you quote for doing 10 records initially. if the work goes well, we will extend it to the whole set of data.
