Almost every lottery corporation prints their lottery ticket at lottery terminal which includes a bar code of some sort, as well as a serial number. For example, The Ontario Lottery Gaming Commission has IR ticket scanners in the stores that sell tickets. One can scan their ticket there and find out immediately if they have won. I would like an application that could photograph the bar code and let one know if they have won something, right on their phone. The application should also allow one to enter the Lottery ticket serial number as well if the photo scan doesn’t work. This application has the potential to allow any Lottery corporation in North America, or the world for that matter, to partner and allow users to check any ticket.
The application would ask the user to select which lottery they are playing among a list of participating lotteries. They should also be able set their location as the default to their specific lottery game, next time you use the application, it defaults to your favorite lottery. Getting access to the Lottery Corporation's database of winning numbers for each draw may be needed.
Each American State and Canadian Province in North America has lotteries. Potential is great as there are over 330,000,000 potential users alone in North America.
