Design a website with shopping cart facility, and ability for site owner to update (add/remove) category items (item picture, heading & description, and price), but not template. Improve provided logo design.
OVERVIEW:
The website is to showcase fashion items and accessories, to be marketed in a retail outlet in Southern Africa. The items are UK products, hence the branding as LONDON LOOK. Items comprise clothing, shoes, bags and other accessories, as outlined in the flow chart attached (there will be slight ammendment to include Wedding dresses and accesories category).
THE BRAND:
The brand is London Look and the branding theme is centered on the UNION JACK (or part of). The brand colours are consequently BLUE, RED & WHITE.
As Llook.com was already taken, Llookz.com was settled for, as well as London-look.co.uk. As it is intended to allow customers to order particular exclusive items (to be purchased in UK after they have commited a deposit), Executives-exclusives.com was also purchased.
THE WEBSITE:
The purchased domain names will all point to the website home page upon which clients may choose to browse Llook or executives exclusives. In each browser will me a Womens, Mens and Children category. Under each category will then be further sub-categories such as dresses, skirts, blouses, shoes, handbags etc (as category demands).
There will then be pictures of the item, a brief description/or heading of the product, and price. It would be desirable to have a facility to highligh the item as a sale item, if the situation arises, in which case, a red flashing sale sign and "WAS" and "IS" price boxes needed.
As online purchases are not as established in the region, with many sceptical, items ordered online will only require the system to generate a total shoping cart invoice as well as "Deposit" invoice for say 30% total invoice value plus a fixed freight charge. On these invoices, the system should generate a unique reference number which the customer will need to quote when making deposits at a bank or within the retail premises. It should then generate consolidated daily, weekly and monthly order lists which the site owner can use and reference to bank statements.
SITE OWNER UPDATE:
Once live, the site should be configured to be updated by the site owner; allowing the easy upload of photographs and input of product descriptions and price (more or less IDIOT WAY!.....Yes, site owner is web idiot).
