Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: Form designing which helps guest sign in wifi in a hotel on nomadix system
Num. of web pages/modules: 1 form is required
Description of requirements/features: We require a form on client website, to handle below process, which will allow Hotel guests to login wifi, capturing client name and email address,
we may also allow guest to login via social media like Facebook,
We expect a fully functional form, 100% tested, We will sign Non disclosure for this work,
We expect functional form fully tested in a day,
Do note this form will be hosted in the server kept in hotel for faster authentication,
Further details below:
Client will be redirect unauthenticated to an off box portal page. This portal page will be configured to capture email address and other desired information and upon successful completion you will POST an authentication XML response to the Nomadix which will effectively create the user and allow them free access.
I have outlined the process flow below...
Expected Process Flow
1) User connects to the WiFi / or Guest LAN connection
2) When they launch a web page they will be redirceted by the Nomadix to a portal page on client web site, When the Nomadix redirects the user to this location we will pass through a user ID for the session (their MAC address)
Eg: http://www.clientwebsite.com/portal/login.htm/details?MA=
3) The client website will check to see if this MAC address has been captured before if it has you may wish to immediately POST the XML below to the Nomadix, if the MAC address has not been captured before then you will want to capture the user info required eg email address. On successful authentication the Web server will need to tell the Nomadix Gateway that this user can use the internet (service levels can be defined)
This is done from the web server as a POST to one of the following addresses:
http://:1111/usg/command.xml
https://:1112/usg/command.xml
Please note the port difference between standard and secure transmissions.
The XML command will need to be a "USER ADD" defining and the required privilages and "UPDATE CACHE" command (see attached XMLDtd_8.2.pdf).
4) The Nomadix will then manage this users session until it expires. I will expire each user after 24 hours to ensure device licenses are maximized.
