Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Personal injury department of a leading London law firm are looking to recruit a Lithuanian translator as soon as possible. Offering personal injury accident compensation services to the Lithuanian community in London and the UK, the firm advertises its services in Lithuanian papers and online news portals. The firm requires a translator to handle calls from clients on their behalf.
The successful candidate will be required to take calls received, obtain initial information and forward all details onto the law firm for review. Based on these details, the firm will decide whether to represent the client. In the event that the client speaks English, the firm will communicate directly with the client (with the translator’s assistance if needed). However if the client is more comfortable speaking in Lithuanian, the firm will communicate (letters, emails) through the translator. The translator will receive a copy of all correspondence the client receives, in order to be kept up to date with the progress of the case, should the client wish to speak to the translator for explanations and updates.
A phone with its own number will be provided to the translator to take work related calls. It is important that the candidate is available to take calls throughout the working day, and that any voicemails are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Alongside handling calls, the translator will be required to post adverts. It is necessary for the post holder to have their picture printed in the firm’s adverts, both online and in print.
All applicants must live in London, or within easy access to London to attend meetings when required.
If you feel that you satisfy all of the role requirements, please submit your CV for approval. Any applications where the candidate does not fulfil all role requirements will unfortunately not be considered.
