Experience Level: Intermediate
A simple 3D model to scale of the Kaaba at Mecca. Imagine a cheap tourist souvenir ($4.99, say) of the Kaaba cut out of dark stone/granite with a printed gold band round the sides, a printed gold rectangle covering the door, a printed Bismillah on one side or end and the Arabic numerals for 2011 printed underneath the Bismillah. It should be really simple: a plain cuboid with no physical details picked out: i.e. as if just cut and smoothed with basic machinery from a piece of rough stone.
It can be showcased on a larger perspex base if you wish, but this is not necessary.
I also need a 5" revolution round the souvenir so that it can be seen from all angles.
See attached files of an upmarket version ($99) and also of the Bismillah and of Arabic numerals. Arabic numbers read from left to right, so the numerals for 2011 look like: an inverted '7', a dot, a '1' and a '1'.
