Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Looking for someone to creat an infographic resume out of my regular (text-based) resume..
Willing to explore different directions, not in a hurry. Below is my brief:
Objectives:
1- Minimize text: my current resume has about 3 pages of text, I want to convert it to a 2 pages graphics.
2- Highlight Achievements: I'm a marketing specialist who've been having a successful careers, with achievements that I'd like to be obvious on my resume. Things like (Increased market share of product X from 23% to 30% in 1 year; or managed to make brand Y the market leader for the first time in its history; or Launched a new brand/ product for company Z leading an increase in profit by 25%; those are some examples of achievements that can be highlighted much better in graphics than in text.
3- Stand out: I'm planning for a move outside the country in a couple of months, so I'd really need something different to show potential employers in a country where I have no reputation.
Graphical Style & guidelines:
I have no restriction to a certain style, though it needs to look professional & modern. I also have the following guidelines in mind to inspire:
- Ease of reading is key. The last thing I want is something that looks nice, but too complicated to be read.
- A balance of nice graphics & comprehensive information. I'll be helping the freelancer on which informations are a "must" to have, & which that could go out.
- Sequence & structure: since it's a resume, it needs to have an easy to follow sequence. I was thinking of something like a timeline where in each year I show which company I worked for & what achievements I've accomplished. But PLEASE don't limit yourself to this idea, I'm open to hear more ideas from creative people.
- It's still a resume, not an ad: of the 3 attachments, the world-cup example could be the maximum "wildness" I could go for. I don't want it to look like an ad, or an over-do show-off. It's still a resume at the end of the day. I just want it to be a very unique resume.
I've also attached 3 examples of infographics that I thought to be close to what I'm looking for.
Delivery style:
Before going into graphics, I'd like the freelancer I work with to explain the idea first, maybe sketch it on a peace of paper, or share some examples of what he's planning to do.
Experience required:
I'd like to work with someone familiar with infographics & can show some examples of his work. I'm a very busy man & can't afford to "start a learning curve" with someone who hasn't done it before.
