Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
I have tried to compose a story script, however it is still subject to change, constructive ideas are welcome:
Short intro in 5 secs: family is happily packing their clothes and stuff into luggages, leaving from home but before arriving to the seaside they get stuck in a traffic jam at the exit gate.
IT’S OVER!
The image gets strikethroughed and comes our story:
The man takes over his ENC device from the courier at home or in his office. He reads the user’s guide that is sticked onto the device and does the following: Goes out to his car (or into the garage), sits in, removes the protecting foil and places the device onto the windshield (it has a velcro holder on the back sidewith a self adhesive surface towards the windshield).
They pack all their luggages into the car and leave happily. In Hungary the device beeps twice under gates with cameras, like this (http://imgfrm.index.hu/imgfrm/5/3/3/7/BIG_0013595337.jpg):
Please, illustrate that it means the devices is functioning properly (it is written on the manual). They should get happy from hearing the two beeping tones!
After crossing the border they reach the first motorway entry gate (this is not the one but it liiks similar)
Cars are standing in the ordinary lane (8-10) where they have to peel/take a magnetic card, while the ENC lane is empty. Having the ENC device, they go directly to the ENC gate, the ENC device beeps and the barrier opens up.
We can even illustrate the time they save by adding another actor, a Ferrari (Maybe someone from their street or a neighbour?!) that is speeding all the time, but always gets stuck in the traffic at the gates, and at the end of the road the driver of the Ferrari arrives tired and angry to the same hotel or apartment, while the members of the family are already playing in the sea or sunbathing.
At Zagreb (Sveta Helena) they experience the same. However there is only one car in front of them, please illustrate that they keep 10 meters of distance to the other car (to avoid interfering into the communication of his device). It takes more then one second for the other car, because he has a metalized heat protecting windshield which prevents the ENC device to communicate with the sensors of the gate (BTW, senzors are placed on the ceiling of the gate) The driver opens the window and holds out the device: it opens the barrier than, he puts it back on the winshield and moves on.
When the family leaves Zagreb there is another gate (called Lučko) and a huge traffic and the croatian colleagues are in panic (6 normal lanes, cca 100 cars in each and 4 ENC rails, with 3-4 cars in each), the assistant of HAC gives them a magnetic card, because the IT system of HAC (the Croatian Motorway Operator company) is broken. This means the ENC device isn't registered for that destinaton. When they arrive to Zadar de device doesn’t open the barrier for the same reason. They give it to HAC’s assistant who is witting in the booth (you can see the yellow booths on this image: http://www.ncs.hr/upload/katalog/2016-3-17_nastavak_smjena_u_tvrtkama_danas_pada_trojac_hac_o.jpg), using a barcode reader he debits the toll onto the deive’s account and the family still didn’t have to pay by cash and saved cca. 2 hours on their journey.
Somehow we should reflect that the situation is much worse when travelling home (you can see some images here: to be added). Let’s say, „7 days later...” they are packing again and start their way towards Budapest. We should show 10 kms of traffic and the family simply takes them over in the ENC lane (even Police is letting them go there). You can see lanes and gates here (10 pieces of only ENC gates): to be added and here (another 10 for normal payment): to be added (the motorway has two lanes normally, but at the gates of Zagreb it has a fork, there are cca 10 lanes for ENC payment, where non-ENC users have two lanes for mocing on, while cca 4 kms later there are other 10 for cash payment and ENC users move on on two lanes. The problem with cash payment is that even those 10 lanes get jammed on cca 10 kms in July. This is what we should show!
At the end they arrive home brown, happy, full of energy and nice memories from both the seaside and the road. Show text: „Spórolj időt és energiát a nyaraláshoz és utazz te is autópálya kütyüvel! www.noroaming.hu” – of course, make it nice and attarctive to make them click the link!
When they are on vacation or after wrriving home they should contact the Ferrari driver to rent an ENC for his next trip! Or the Ferrari driver should contact them how they could always overtake him and arrive so fast! ;-)
Audio and subtitles should be added as well, we will prepare them later. It will be displayed on YouTube, our website and monitor in our office.

Hi Denes,
What kind of animation you are looking for 2D or whiteboard in this short period of time?Denes N.24 Jan 2017Hello Hanson, I must admit, I have no experience in animations. I would prefer 2D, however it depends on both price and functionality. The most important is to publish a clear and attractive animation to our customers that is easy to understand. As for the time issue, I thought one week should be sufficient for doing the work, but our deadline for publishing is Feb-March...
