Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
We require a developer with experience using API requests and XML to create a holiday search function on our website. The website itself uses Joomla although the search function does not need any integration with the Joomla CMS the search results should be displayed within the Joomla template therefore Joomla experience would be beneficial.

How it will work

The search function you will be building will query the Affiliate future travel web service API which will return live availability results with affiliate links to holiday providers. You will find attached full API documentation for the web services which will need to be queried.

If you look at http://henoo.com/ you will see an example of a site which is built using the same web service. The functionality of the system we require will be pretty much identical to this site. The exception being that our site is focused only on a single destination - Ibiza - therefore the search forms will not need a 'travelling to country' field, the search should obviously only return results for Ibiza (in Spain).

We will provide:

-API documentation (attached)
-APi access (username, password, IP access)
-Visual's for the search boxes and search results pages (as image files)
-Live Development environment (copy of live site) with FTP & Joomla admin access

You will provide:

-Holiday search box implemented as a Joomla module for use in a joomla template
-Search results pages which fetch live data using the API returned via XML and implemented within the Joomla template and styled with CSS as per the supplied visuals with identical functionality to the henoo.com example
-Full source code (commented)

Note- the henoo site has searches for car hire, hotels etc. We only need a package holiday search at this stage.

Any questions on this project please fell free to get in touch. I look forward to receiving your proposals.
