Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: Private Prototype Project Concept Testing
Design details: I'm designing a cool project specifically for my area in CT for when it snows. In short without giving too much away, project will be some kind of strong plastic, should be able to fold down as small as possible as well being light in weight.
Will be able to open wide enough for any car via length, width, and height. Then will have ramp cover over top of car, and a hidden and hid able/slide able ramp for another car to park on top of that car without causing the area over the car or around the car to collapse or slide in any way.
its tricky, but i think is possible. reason for this is so that in winter..we don't have to worry about snow plow piling snot on top of us, nor being blocked in or fighting for parking spots.
if you also know any material that would work, let me know. i will make a prototype for it before project is completed. the least amount of parts, the more short i can get when closed, and if i can fold everything down to like a campers back pack or fishing chair carrying case, that would be ideal. if two carrying cases, that will be find.
oh, and all parts should not come apart. so twist handles, parts that slide into bigger parts and clip in that way, and other build on simple to use locking mechanisms is ideal.
again, ill be using this for winter snow, with a 05 Chevy impala, and a 10 Chevy Malibu. should easily be able to hold either car on top weather its a car under neath, or no car underneath. safety is super important. can even 3d print small hand held test models if you want before going for big final part.
if you have ideas, feel free to sketch them out and show me so i can see if i need to explain more or if you got my idea perfectly. no sharing, of words, information, pictures, anything about this project online or off line that is not approved is in violation of this project. when agreeing to bid, you agree to never share any information of this project weather hired or not.
happy to be here and sorry for long message, lol just be sure to fully read message twice to see if you get it or have questions. all parts light weight plastic parts. fyi. ;)
Target audience: 18-65
Ideas for the visual style: simple and easy to use
Things to avoid: too many complicated parts
Preferred colors: black or chrome
Where the design will be used: only used for home personal use. not commercial product at this time.
Extra notes:
