Experience Level: Intermediate
I'm looking for a part time, or full time web developer, to work remotely, with the flexibility to work in house (when needed) for a small, but expanding digital studio, based in Birmingham.

My company has been running since 2005 and we deal B2B, working with local SME's. We also work for a large agency, working on large corporate accounts. Onto the job...


WEB DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:

You'll need to be a good problem solver, and a very good coder. Mostly working with PHP and MySql. You'll also be competent at writing clean, usable, standards-compliant code, cross browser design. You'll need to speak fluent English, as I may need you to liaise directly with clients.


THE SPECIFICS:

- Expert in PHP and MYSQL
- Able to develop any graphic design into valid and clean XHTML and CSS
- Well versed in WordPress development
- Able to implement javascript, with a good familiarity of jQuery
- Experience working with Unix servers
- Experience of eCommerce, particularly Magento (installing and Theme development), as well a payment processing integration
- Experience setting up open source CMS, such as ModX
- Good communication skills for liaising directly with clients when needed

A good knowledge of white hat, ethical SEO would be an advantage, as well a a good eye for design.


LOCATION

Remote, with the flexibility of meeting up and or working in house from time to time. Depending on your rate, this could be a full time or part time position.
