Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Kind of writing: Automotive
Num. of articles: TBC
Words per article: 2000
Topic: Heavy Lift, Heavy Transport, Crane
Tone: Formal/Professional
Outline & Structure: We are seeking the services of several technical journalists (4-5) for the launch of a new abnormal load (heavy lift/haulage) transportation title supporting the French market. We currently have a similar title in our portfolio, and the engagement of this new publication is simply an extension of our continued growth. We have vigorously researched the French market and see huge potential for this title to prosper.
The role would require (each) skilled journalists to write content on a variety of related topics: operational (industry operators), related projects, product innovation, sector analysis and more. In most instances, written articles would be produced following consultation with the respective subject matter. Travel expenses will be paid in addition to remuneration. (Remuneration will largely depend on experience within the sector - and the pay structure is based on a cost per 1000 words. Most editorials will run to around 2000 words). Invoices will be settled on 30 days of receipt of editorial copy.
In addition, a professional photographer will be assigned to support your content.
For peace of mind, we have a substantial bank of technical content we can provide to illustrate this further.
The ideal candidate/s should have a good grasp or understanding of the transport, crane and heavy lift sectors - including vehicles/trailers - although this is not paramount. Good communication skills are a must. Ideally, these positions will suit freelance journalists who have worked within a similar publishing arena.
The new bi-monthly magazine, (French language) will be launched in the third quarter of 2017 and we are very keen to commence commissioning upon sourcing the right candidates.
Past examples of work is essential.

Just to check - are you looking for someone to write in French or in English?
