Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking for a freelance financial journalist to help us write a blog.

Our firm is a start-up in the financial services sector. We are a platform for entrepreneurs, primarily former investment bankers who are now founding their own boutiques. Our members are skilled, articulate and interesting people whose insights and observations on developments in the financial markets will form a rich basis for the blog. The sectors we currently cover include highly topical areas including structured finance, emerging markets, technology, cleantech and biotech, so even though we are a small firm, there will be no shortage of good material.

Our MD is an award-winning former journalist who will help provide ideas and guidance. The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with the global world of corporate finance, and able to snap these pieces out quickly and fluidly. If you have to ask what securitisation is, or how a venture capital fund works, it's probably not for you. Our intended audience will be in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, debt capital markets, equity capital markets and hedge funds. You can work remotely but we will want to meet you before starting and on a regular basis thereafter, so being London-based, or close by, will be an advantage.

We are a start-up (have we mentioned that we are a start-up?) so please don't let words like investment banker cause visions of £££ to dance in your head. This is piecework, not a job, so please bid accordingly. However if you can help us achieve visibility for ourselves (and for you), the project can grow, and with it the compensation.

Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you.
