Description

Experience Level: Expert
The London Independent Film Festival is looking for someone with film industry AND events management experience to co-ordinate a one-day filmmakers\'s expo in London.

For the last Saturday of next year\'s film festival, April 24, 2010, LIFF wants to run a one-day expo, bringing together UK independent filmmakers (as visitors) with companies and organisations providing them services (as exhibitors).

There exists no similar event in the UK, which is quite surprising considering the size of the film industry, and the number of indie filmmakers.

We\'re looking for someone to co-ordinate this project, working with the festival team to develop a plan, and then executing the plan. The two key parts of the job are plotting the logistics of the event, and generating revenue streams from exhibitor fees and advertising. We\'re looking at paying someone 5-10 hours per week from now until the end of April to get it running. We don\'t have tons of money to risk on the project, so being able to find ways of doing it on the cheap is key. But if the project could be made profitable early-on though exhibitor revenues, we\'d be happy to up the project hours and pay.
