We currently have a VB6 application which needs to be re-written as a web app (no VB knowledge is needed).

One part of the application shows a tree view of locations on the left and when a location is selected it displays a grid of cells on the right. Each cell contains information related to that location retrieved from a SQL database. The information is stored in a table as a list of values and each location might have many different values.

An example would be a location called Room 1 contains shelves 1 to 5 and on each shelf there is a tray of 100 storage containers. When the user clicks on one of the shelves in the tree view the grid will be populated with the information relating to to that shelf, so the user will see a grid of 100 cells containing information.

Only cells which contain information are stored, so the web page will need to display the grid (which can be of any size, usually 10x10, but could be 12x96 or any other size) and then populate it with the information which exists.

The application has many features and a number of different screens, which if this first project works out the freelancer will be invited to work on.

Please feel free to ask any questions.
